90-10 Fescue Blend

Tough, Durable and Time Tested!

A combination of 90% tall fescue and 10% bluegrass, this blend is faster-growing than dwarf fescues and therefore stands up better in high traffic areas. This blend has a medium leaf texture and can be mowed to a height of 1 1/2 to 2 inches. 90/10 tall fescue produces very little thatch, is low maintenance and diseas resistant. This tall fescue blend is one of the most shade tolerant turf products and is a superior sod for all types of applications. In areas with no more than 40% shade, this tall fescue should be maintained at a higher mowing height of 3 to 4 inches. With more blade height, the turf will better utilize the limited amount of sunlight, preserving turf density. Under shade conditions you may need to set separate irrigation zones, applying less water inthe shaded area.
